March Madness 2023 Midwest Bracket

Pod1: Birmingham,AL.

My little sheet doesn't take into notice where the games are at, otherwise i do like auburns chances against Iowa there. Houston should be itnteresting. Sasser's injury could play out but i do think Houston has the easiest path to the elite 8 of all the 1 seeds.

Pod 2: Albany, NY

Kent State is a good pick for an upset, especially given indiana's turnover issues. With a bettern turnover ratio and better offensive rebounding, this has all the takes for an upset pick. I like this Miami team a lot, and they should easily handle drake. Miami to the Sweet 16 as a lock.

Pod 3: Greensboro, NC

No one really close to home for this one.

Kennesaw state hasn't played anyone relevant close, so Xavier is a pretty safe pick here. Interesting enough, they have already lost to Indiana this year OOC, They definitely played a strong OOC and have some strong wins to show for it. The 6/11 is interesting. Iowa state might be the closest team to home here, but their biggest claim to fame is just being Baylor's kryptonite this year. Neither of the 11 seeds really impress me.

Pod 4: Des Moines IA

Interesting setup for what appears to be a battle of Texas. Think both schools easily win their games there, although Penn State did come in hot into the big ten tournament. Texas is hot, and did beat every Big 12 team they played at one point or another. I like them for this region.
